Back-to-school in our house means the return of the alarm clock which can be a stressful adjustment for both parents and children.
As parents, we want to ensure that our children have the best return to their academic years, but we also want them to feel confident, happy, and empowered.
That's why we believe in the power of child-led positive affirmations. It's something I have done with myself personally and even more so in an every changing world of 'strange' vrs 'new normals' affirmations ground me through the craze.
Positive affirmations are statements that encourage a positive mindset and self-belief. When children recite positive affirmations, they are reinforcing their self-esteem and promoting a growth mindset.
It's a simple yet effective way to build confidence, resilience, and motivation in children.
So, as your children prepare to head back to school, encourage them to recite positive affirmations every day.
You can start by introducing a few simple affirmations such as "I am capable of learning anything I set my mind to," "I am kind and respectful to myself and others," and "I am excited to learn and grow."
To make this practice even more fun and engaging, I am sharing and recommend my favorite brand of child-led decks - Mal Paper affirmation cards available on Amazon.

Our all time favourite for time away from the screen is Our Moments Kids. This game is great for all aged children into pre-teen aged especially with children that struggle to articulate themselves unless prompted - keep this game on the shelf.
